HSD Series – Submersible Portable Slurry Pump
HSD Series – Submersible Portable Slurry Pump
From $1,025.00 excl. GST (Price per Item)
Overview
The Tsurumi HSD is a single-phase submersible slurry pump for sites where the water carries more than just water. Fitted with a high-chromium cast iron agitator, the pump actively stirs settled material before suction, handling mud, silt, and fine debris that would clog a standard drainage pump.
The HSD runs on single-phase power but features abrasion-resistant wear parts that give it the durability of a three-phase slurry unit. The spiral casing allows solid matter to pass through without the buildup that can cause blockages, and its straightforward construction keeps field maintenance simple.
With solids passage up to 9mm, the pump is suited to construction sites, quarries, foundation excavations, and any location where the conditions are at their worst.
The pump requires to be placed in 10cm of liquid in order to operate.
Key Features
High-Chromium Cast Iron Agitator
The agitator spins at the base of the pump, breaking up settled sludge and keeping solids in suspension so liquid can be drawn into the pump casing. Without this, fine material settles and must be manually shifted before pumping can begin. The HSD removes that step.
Single-Phase Power with Slurry-Grade Wear Parts
The wear parts in the HSD are selected for abrasive service, giving the pump a working life closer to that of a three-phase slurry pump than to a standard single-phase unit. For sites without three-phase supply, that distinction matters.
Spiral Pump Casing
The spiral casing allows mud, grit, and other solids to pass through the pump without accumulating in corners or tight passages. The design also keeps the internal components accessible, so inspection and maintenance can be carried out on site without specialist tools.
9mm Solids Passage
The 9mm solids passage gives the HSD more clearance than a standard slurry pump, allowing it to handle material that would stop other pumps in their tracks. On heavily contaminated sites, this directly reduces the number of pump stoppages and the need for clearances.
Auto Cutout Protector
The auto-cutout protector shuts down the pump if the motor temperature exceeds safe limits. In abrasive service, where the pump is working hard, this protection is especially important for extending the unit’s service life.
Typical Applications
- Site slurry removal and dewatering
- Quarry drainage and sediment pumping
- Construction site foundation drainage with mud and silt present
- Floodwater removal where water contains soil and debris
- General drainage where the solids content is high
- Industrial process drainage involving fine particulates
