KE, KS & KW Series Automatic Front Bar Screen Systems
The Tsurumi KE, KS and KW series bar screens are automatic front facing wastewater screening systems designed to remove solids from sewage and industrial effluent flows before they reach downstream pumps and treatment equipment.
Constructed from 304 stainless steel, these systems offer high corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding wastewater and water treatment environments.
The system uses a mechanical rake-type cleaning mechanism, where multiple rakes continuously travel behind the screen bars at the inlet face. Each rake tooth passes between the bars to remove trapped or lodged solids, ensuring consistent and reliable screening performance even under heavy debris loads. The design incorporates a low-power, energy-efficient motor, helping reduce operating costs while maintaining continuous cleaning performance.
These bar screens are well suited to applications with variable water levels, making them ideal for pump stations, inlet channels, and municipal or industrial wastewater treatment facilities.
KM Series Automatic Rear Bar Screen System
The Tsurumi KM series bar screen is a304 stainless steel automatic rear facing wastewater screening system designed for efficient solids removal in sewage and industrial effluent applications. A key feature of the KM series is its innovative dry chain drive system, where the chain and sprocket are isolated from direct contact with the wastewater. This significantly reduces wear, improves reliability, and lowers maintenance requirements. The KM series also incorporates a low-power, energy-efficient motor.
It is ideally suited to applications with stable or low variation water levels, making it suitable for pump stations, treatment plants, and industrial wastewater systems requiring reliable secondary screening.
